How to Make a Podcast Episode with Text to Speech

Not every podcast needs a microphone and a quiet room. Scripted intros, explainer episodes, and news-style formats work well as text-to-speech — and you can iterate on the script for free before committing to a final voice.

Solo narration format

Write the episode as a script, use Auto-breathe for natural sentence pacing, and place manual pauses for segment breaks ("...and after this, we'll cover—" *pause* — segment change). Pick a Natural-tier voice for the most human-sounding narration; Standard is a solid, cheaper option if the show is high-volume.

Two-host / interview format

For a longer episode, split the script at a natural break (a segment boundary, an ad slot) and download it in two or more parts; joining finished MP3s afterward in any free audio editor or podcast host's own tools is a straight concatenation, not a re-edit, since the pauses and music are already mixed into each part.
