Privacy Policy

Effective: 26 October 2026. GetMeAudio (getmeaudio.com) is owned and operated by Swasti Ventures ("we," "us," "our"). Swasti Ventures decides how your personal data is used: it is the "controller" under the GDPR and the "data fiduciary" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. This policy describes what we collect, why, who we share it with, and your choices. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run the service, we don't sell data, we don't use your scripts to train AI, and your script stays in your browser until you Preview or Download.

What we collect and why

  • Writing your script. Your script and settings are saved in your browser's storage on your device, not on our servers, until you Preview or Download.
  • Device-voice tool. The optional device-voice tool (under Tools) uses your browser's or operating system's built-in voices. That audio is generated entirely on your device and is never sent to us.
  • Previews without an account. To enforce the free Preview limit before sign-in, we use your IP address and a random ID stored in your browser. They are used only to count Preview clips and prevent abuse.
  • Account. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, which stores your email address and a user ID. We link that ID to your AudioMinutes, bonus Preview minutes, Preview usage, country and history. Sign-up and sign-in are protected by an automated bot check.
  • Previews and Downloads. To produce the real voice, the script text you Preview or Download is sent to our servers and on to our speech providers. We cache the generated audio, keyed by a hash of the text, voice and settings, so repeats are instant and never charged twice. We keep a record of each paid Download (what was charged, and a fingerprint of its settings) so that downloading it again is not billed.
  • Music you upload. If you upload your own background music, we store it for 30 days so you can download your project again, then delete it.
  • Purchases. Payments are processed by our payment providers, who handle your card and payment details directly; we never see or store card numbers. We store the pack, price, tax and validity of each purchase, and the minimal billing details (name, email, country, and a GSTIN if you give one) needed to process the payment and issue invoices. For India purchases we issue a GST tax invoice. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep invoices and payment records for a fixed number of years (in India, at least eight). We keep them for that period, including in a write-protected backup copy, even if you delete your account, and use them for nothing else.
  • Emails. When you create an account we send a welcome email and a few short getting-started emails about using GetMeAudio, plus service emails about your purchases and account. Separately, we send product emails and offers: in the EU/EEA, the UK, Switzerland, Canada, Australia and Brazil only if you opt in; everywhere else you're subscribed when you create your account and we tell you so, with a one-click way to turn them off. Either way, each of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can switch them off on your Account page at any time. We work out your region from the country on your profile and the country your connection comes from, and use the stricter of the two. To send them we share your email address, sign-up month, country, the campaign that brought you to us (if any), the date of your last purchase and how you subscribed with our email-marketing provider.
  • Feedback. If you use the feedback box, we receive your message, the email address you enter, your user ID if you are signed in, and your IP address (to limit abuse; the box is protected by the same automated bot check as sign-in). It is delivered to our support inbox and used only to read and reply to your feedback.
  • Product analytics. We use a product-analytics service to understand how the product is used and to find bugs. It records page views, clicks, errors and session replays (a reconstruction of what happened on screen, which can include script text shown in the editor). Typed form fields are masked. We use this data only to fix problems and improve GetMeAudio. It is linked to your account if you are signed in.
  • Advertising measurement. We use advertising-platform conversion tracking to see whether our ads lead to sign-ups and Downloads, and we record the campaign (UTM) tags in the link you arrived from. We do not share your scripts or audio with advertisers, and we do not sell your data.
  • Operational logs. Standard server logs (timestamps, IP address, request sizes, error traces) are kept for debugging, security and abuse prevention.

Who we share data with

We share personal data only with service providers that process it for us under contract, and only as much as they need:

  • Hosting, storage, database and security providers that run our website, servers, storage, backups and bot protection.
  • Sign-in: our authentication provider.
  • Speech generation: our cloud speech providers receive script text to produce audio. Their terms do not allow them to use it to train their models.
  • Payments: a direct payment processor (India) and an international merchant-of-record partner (outside India).
  • Email: our email-delivery provider (service email) and, only if you opt in, our email-marketing provider.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement: our product-analytics service and advertising platforms.
  • Authorities: tax authorities, and anyone else where the law requires it or where it is needed to protect our rights or users' safety.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell or rent personal data.
  • We don't use your scripts or audio to train AI models, and our provider agreements don't permit them to either.
  • We don't listen to or read your scripts or audio, except where needed to fix a problem you report, to investigate abuse, or where the law requires it.

International transfers

Our providers process data in several countries, including the United States, the European Union and India. Where the law requires it (for example, for data from the EU or UK), transfers are protected by standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard.

How long we keep data

  • Account data: until you delete your account.
  • Uploaded music and re-download records: 30 days.
  • Feedback messages: in our support inbox for as long as needed to handle them.
  • Cached generated audio, Preview usage records and logs: only as long as they are needed for caching, Preview limits, security and debugging, then deleted on a rolling basis.
  • Invoices and payment records: for the period tax and accounting law requires (in India, at least eight years).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal data, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you can ask to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, object to or restrict some processing, and withdraw consent (for example, to marketing email) at any time. To do any of these, email support@getmeaudio.com. We reply within 30 days. Deleting your account removes your personal data, except transaction records we must keep by law. If you are in the EU or UK, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. In India, you can raise a grievance with us at support@getmeaudio.com (subject "Grievance"), and then with the Data Protection Board of India.

Cookies and browser storage

We use browser storage and cookies to keep you signed in, save your scripts and settings on your device, remember the random ID used for anonymous Preview limits, and record which campaign brought you to us. Our analytics and advertising-measurement services also set cookies or similar identifiers. You can clear or block these at any time in your browser settings.

Children

GetMeAudio is not directed at children, and accounts and purchases are only for people legally allowed to make them where they live. We do not knowingly collect children's personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

We'll post changes here with a new effective date, and email account holders about material changes.
