How to Add Background Music to a Voiceover (Free, in Your Browser)

The usual way to put music under a voiceover is: generate the voice in one tool, download it, import both tracks into a video editor, keyframe the music volume down under the speech, and export. This guide does the whole thing in a browser tab.

Paste your script (Step 1)

Open the GetMeAudio editor and paste your script. The character counter shows an estimated duration, so you can trim to length before generating anything.

Add pauses where they matter (Step 1)

Click where you want silence and use Insert pause. Pauses are placed as visible chips in the script, with exact lengths (0.1 seconds up to 10 minutes each). Auto-breathe adds natural short gaps after sentences in one click.

Pick music and set the mix (Step 2)

In Step 2 — Studio AI Voice, choose a track in the Background music menu, or upload your own MP3/WAV. Set the music volume and leave Duck under voice on: the music automatically drops while the voice speaks and swells back in the pauses. That's the effect editors keyframe by hand.
