Is GetMeAudio free?
Drafting is free and unlimited, using a voice built into your device. Voice samples are free, and short previews of the real cloud voices are free within an allowance. The finished download is paid per minute.
What is a draft?
A draft plays your script with a voice built into your browser or device. It is instant and free, and it is for checking wording, pacing, pauses and the music mix.
What is a preview?
A preview plays a short clip of your own text in the real cloud voice, the same voice and engine you would download, so you know what you are buying.
Is the preview lower quality than the download?
No. Previews are full quality. They are limited by length, about 30 seconds per clip, not by quality, and there is no watermark.
How much can I preview?
Without an account you get a couple of short clips. Once you sign in there is a daily allowance of about 5 minutes of new audio, with clips of up to about 30 seconds.
Do I need an account to try it?
No. You can draft, browse voices and hear free samples without signing in. You need an account for the daily preview allowance and to download.
Why does my draft sound different from the preview?
A draft uses a voice already on your device, so its quality depends on your phone or computer. The preview and download use cloud voices.
Is there a limit on free drafts?
There is no daily quota. A single draft plays up to about 5,000 characters, which is enough to check timing.
How long can my script be?
A script can be up to 50,000 characters.
Are voice samples free?
Yes. Every one of the 938 voices has a free sample you can play without signing in.
Does previewing use my AudioMinutes?
No. Previews come from a separate daily allowance and never use your balance.
