Common problems and what to try first.

I hear no sound in the draft.

The draft uses a voice on your device. Check your volume and that your browser allows audio, and try a different device voice from the list.

The draft voice sounds robotic.

Draft voices depend on your device. Preview the real cloud voice to hear the quality you will download.

My preview stops after about 30 seconds.

Previews are short clips by design. Preview a different part of the script, or download for the full audio.

I got a message that my preview allowance is used up.

The daily preview allowance is limited and resets each day. Drafts stay free, and downloads are not affected by it.

A word is mispronounced.

Add a pronunciation rule for it, or respell the word the way it should sound, then play just that sentence.

A pause did not work.

Check that the pause is on its own between sentences and is not inside a word. Pauses run from 0.1 seconds to ten minutes.

My download failed.

Try again. If it fails again, contact support with the time. Minutes for a failed download are re-credited.

My download is very long or slow on my phone.

The mix is made in your browser, so very long downloads are better done on a computer.

My script is being cut off in the draft.

A single draft plays up to about 5,000 characters. Cloud previews and downloads are not limited that way.

My saved project disappeared.

Autosave is stored in your browser only. Clearing site data, using a private window or switching browser removes it. Use Save to keep a project file.

I cannot sign in.

Check the email address and try the one-time code option. If it still fails, email [email protected].

The music is too loud or quiet.

Adjust the music volume and the ducking amount, then play a draft to check the balance.
