TTSMP3 Alternative: When 3,000 Free Characters a Day Is Not Enough

ttsMP3 does one thing well: paste some text, pick a voice, and download an MP3. If that is all you need for a short line, it is hard to beat, and it is free. This article is for the moment your script gets longer or needs more than a plain read.

What ttsMP3 offers

• Free use with daily limits. Its FAQ says the regular voice converter currently offers up to 3,000 characters per day, and AI voices have a separate daily limit. Paid packages exist for more text.
• Two voice types. Regular Voices are powered by Amazon Polly and support SSML (pauses, emphasis, speed, pitch and whispering). AI Voices are powered by OpenAI text to speech and accept optional voice instructions for style, tone and emotion.
• Languages. More than 28 voice languages are listed for the regular converter.
• Commercial use. The FAQ says the MP3 files can be used in commercial and non-commercial projects, on both free and paid usage, with no credit required.
• API. API access is included with every 1-year plan.

That is a genuinely good deal for short clips, and the commercial-use answer is clear.

Cost for a longer script
