Projects, Accounts and Privacy: Your Questions Answered

How your work is saved, and what is and is not sent to the servers.

Is my work saved automatically?

Yes. The editor autosaves to your browser as you type. It survives reloads and sign-in detours on that device and browser.

Will it be there on another device?

No. Autosave is per device and browser. Use Save to download a project file and Open it elsewhere.

What is a project file?

A small .gma.json file that keeps your script, speakers, voice, settings, fit-to-time target and pronunciation rules. Saving it is free.

Does saving a project use AudioMinutes?

No. Saving and opening projects is free.

Is my script sent to your servers?

Drafting stays in your browser. When you preview or download, the text is sent to our servers and on to our speech providers to synthesise the voice.

Which providers make the voices?

Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.

Do you keep the audio?

Generated audio is cached for a limited period so repeats are instant and never re-billed, and is then deleted.

Do you sell my data?

No. We do not sell or rent personal data.

How do I delete my account?

Email [email protected]. Deleting your account removes your personal data, with transaction records kept only as long as tax and accounting law requires.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Everything runs in your browser on desktop or mobile.

How do I contact support?

Email [email protected], with the approximate time and what you clicked.
